kelong ah..
Didn't have time to update my blog the last couple of days cos i was busy power-boating from 9.30am to 7.30pm! Or at least trying to learn how to do it. The theory was strangely quite interesting and the practical was good fun. Learnt how to rescue people who dropped out of the boat and berth it. Today, we took a drive from Sembawang to Punggol Marina and stopped by the kelong (one of the few left in singapore). It was like a mini-excursion. I used to think that Singapore didn't have any nice beaches despite being an island. Now I think that Singapore's nice beaches are just not open to public generally. I didn't know we had so many islands that exist n we can actually stay over at! Now to think about the cost of owning a boat... :)
Last night was rushing to tkd class after power-boat. And for some reason, I had to pick my younger sis up from marine parade after class.. Tonight, while I was looking for seafood dinner with my younger sis after power-boat (inspired by the kelong), tammy called me to ask if i was reaching yet. I was like "Huh? Go where? I'm in Sembawang leh." And she reminded me that I was supposed to attend my NTU tkd friend's wedding dinner at hyatt! I can't believe I totally forgot about it (i mean, he gave me the invitation card like 2 days ago?)! Zoomed home n got changed. Couldn't possibly wear my t-shirts, shorts n slippers to hyatt although i hv almost zilch knowledge in fashion. Then rushed down to hyatt. Fortunately I was only a little late since chinese wedding dinners don't start too punctually despite what the invitation says. Caught up with my NTU tkd friends who i haven't seen for a couple of years. We usually only meet during someone's wedding dinner after all.
Now i'm feeling so full again. Stupid wedding dinner, makes me overeat once more. I also realised that the weighing machine I bought is ultra-sensitive. Without food, I'm lighter. With food, it adds 1-2kg to my weight. It sure doesn't make me feel better. Stupid machine. So now I've decided to leave it in the living room instead of my room.
Oh, and i felt so pissed off during lunch today. Had "vegetables rice" (cai fan) at this Koufu coffeeshop in Canberra (Sembawang) and ordered egg n cauliflowers. That guy actually considered them as meat items because he put a bit of minced meat into the eggs and a couple of pathetic defrosted tiny fishballs into the cauliflowers. I feel so cheated! I mean, it's not that the price of the food is high ($3.50 for everything), but I feel that he was very underhanded in doing that. Wanted to tell him off, but my younger sis stopped me. I'm so so so disgusted.
