Murphy's law

This morning was a total screw-up. I had an important conference call at 8.30am, and intended to reach office by 8.15am. As in murphy's law, i had to miss a bus by 1 minute. The buses that came after were all too full to be boarded. I ended up waiting for more than half an hour for the bus! Then i missed the train at the station. I was so expecting it to happen anyway. Conclusion, i was late for my conference call. Fortunately, i got JC to start it first since people from all over the world were calling my mobile. I just hung them up since i was still in the train... :(

Anyway, the conference call went quite smoothly, with the main person praising my work n stuffs. It's so funny that he even mentioned how we changed his impression of IT auditors to a positive one. First time i see someone genuinely liking auditors! Usually other people who say that don't mean it and just want you to "overlook" certain things. JC and me just looked at each other n laugh (of cos we put him on mute).

Have another lunch appointment with 1 of my cell group friends. Haven't seen any of them since i quarrelled with gerrie. Wonder if she'd talk abt it during lunch later. I hope not.

It's valentine's day today n the silly US have scheduled for an important global web meeting tonight at 10pm - midnight. Important cos the top CEO n CIO are talking. But JC's going to miss the meeting since it's valentine's day. Or night. For me, i'd probably just watch inuyasha while the people yak away..
