Splurge
Just before heading to Sitex, i called UOB to increase my credit limit (it had only $2 left..) by 5k. The minute they approved it, i spent it all at sitex. Surprisingly, the biggest ticket item was not computer related. It's my sony LCD 40" tv costing 3.5k. Since it came with the DVD recorder (and a $180 paragon voucher i dun use), i didn't feel so ripped off. Frankly, i was quite impressed with both Sony n JVC's LCD technologies.
Now for the fateful day of me bringing 3 old folks around singapore. I started by bringing them for chicken rice at katong for lunch. Yeah, by the time i woke up, it was time for lunch (finished my korean drama the night before that's why..). They really loved everything abt the chicken rice, even the roast duck!
So we walked around Singapore river to digest it all. Man, i'm so impressed with my own knowledge of singapore. Hahaha.... ok, i dun wanna know how many other people know that raffles founded singapore in 1819, but i remembered!! My grandma was actually amazed that i know too. Then went to ah kun n that tiny "museum" in far east sq. They decided that they were still too full, so i brought them to fort canning park. Stop laughing, singapore is really THAT boring.
After that, they decided fort canning was too hot (it's really the humidity more than anything else) so i brought them to bugis street. They joined the young kids in searching for cheap clothes n bought a couple of t-shirts for a steal. By then, my grandma decided she can't walk anymore so we went to the macau jade restaurant for drinks n desserts (just me) before heading home.
Night time was my cousin's treat at jumbo seafood. Yay, i got out of the whole thing without having to pay!! Heh. I'm now so so full. I need to exercise. I need it so badly...
