Distant neighbour

On a rare occassion that i walk home today evening, one of my distant neighbours was standing at her gate. Of course, i dunno anyone in my neighbourhood (including the one staying next to me), but THAT neighbour looked at me and smiled as if she knew me for a long time. I was taken aback n said a soft n hurried "hello...". Do i know that person??? Or was i mistaken for someone else????? Knowing my poor memory, i won't be surprised if it's the former...
