Time out

I've been trying to update my blog for the last few days but was always interrupted by more work. Not been sleeping or eating too much recently as there wasn't much time for them. This fraud case is definitely taking its toll on me with its high drama (n i'm not supposed to say anything since it's still under investigation).. It's like, there wasn't space to store all that data n the partner told me to jus buy an external hard disk. Then later i'm supposed to go funan to get an OCR software costing at least $300 for this job too. Money isn't a problem.. n people had to be escorted around since we don't know who are the "good" and "bad" guys. Oh, I also intentionally went all the way to Jurong (client's place) to run some jobs in the middle of the night as i crashed their server twice during the day for the last few nights. Each time, there was a story to tell why it failed.. The 1st night, it was successful but I didn't have authorisation to save. The 2nd night, my colleague thought the power was connected to the printer n turned off the power to my laptop. The 3rd night, the job timed out. I was so fed up, i literally ate 10 time-out bars to vent my frustration. Going OD on sugar soon, damn.

After overworking brenda last night (made her stay with me to do up something), i hope i can finish this at a more decent hour tonight as i'm watching sound of music with my family. My ticket costs more than 100 bucks, so i better not miss it! At most i'll just return to office after the musical.. :( And i'm still trying to get a hp n replace 1 of my lines. Hopefully i can do so this weekend before going KL. Probably won't get a 3G hp after all since no one is using it yet.. see how the promotions go this weekend i guess?

All work n no rest

I'm overworked. On a saturday morning, instead of sleeping, i had to be in jurong at 9.30am. Worked till night so i couldn't make it in time for class. Fortunately dehua took MC so i got him to help take class for a while. Now going back to work again. Can't believe i burnt my entire weekend investigating the fraud case. I haven't even prepared for my course tomorrow morning. Yeah, pwc from philippines, china n HK are flying down to singapore to attend the course n i'm teaching. I haven't even seen the slides fae helped me prepare. I'm so screwed. But it's not my fault, i've been working so hard! Enuff said, gotta head to client's.

I've been working so hard the last few days, my brain's malfunctioning. Can't think n having a splitting headache with serious lack of sleep. Was working till 3+am n started again at 9am?

Anyway, was just taking a break with my colleagues at coffee club express when i noticed the guy sitting opp me was familiar looking. Fae n kyra instantly said he is james lye. Indu n andrea were like "really? where?".. n i tot he was some policeman.. at least that was the impression he left me i guess.

Y can't my brain jus stop working?? Maybe it oredi did, that's y i'm jus typing nonsense..

Full up!

Jus had one of the best buffets at meritus mandarin! It was my partner's treat to celebrate the completion of maxtor job. The buffet was $55+++ per person n it was fabulous!!

Starters: Nice variety of bread for dipping in balsamic n olive oil n a whole range of varied cheeses n other dips, nice soups with garlic bread n misc. Very nice sashimi, oysters, mussels, prawns, squids, sushi, salads, it's like, u name it, they hv it. Oh, free flow of lobsters too. The lobsters was served directly to the tables n were so well done! Then the main course included the cauliflower, brocolli n mushrooms i love, baby back ribs, honey ham n roast beef that they slice for u on the spot, milk-fed goat meat (this was really really really nice), buttered cockles, hand-made pasta, scallops n so much more. N the desserts. Chocolate fondue. Yes, fondue with large strawberries! Yummy~~~! Many small cakes, cheesecakes, black forest cake, strawberry shortcake, crumbles, strudels, creme brulee, panna cotta, various types of gourmet chocolates, pancake (soaked with this terrific liquor in hotpan) with ice-cream n toppings, etc. WOW!!! N my partner got us a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine, n another bottle of champagne (there were 8 of us there..) for champagne popping. I had so many different types of wine glasses since we had sangria too. Then this string ensemble team came around to our table n sang any song we chose. Amrita chose a couple of jazz songs n they simply played n sang them on the spot. They were amazing!! The entire thing was just so beautiful n i simply indulged. I figured that i met my dietary requirements for the next 3 days n hence won't be eating for 3 days.

Everything was going on fine till i was about to take my fondue. My hp rang. Guess what? The STUPID pple jus sent me 3 more files to import into the database n they need me to help them do some stuffs. The best thing is, they need it by tomorrow morning. So guess what I'm doing now? Yes, working after the splendid dinner n under alcohol influence. :( I was so disgusted n i literally shouted to the guy "WHAT?? Tomorrow morning???" n he was like "er.r.. yeah, i know it's a little hard.. ok, maybe just give it to us before lunch". Big difference. It means i'd not be sleeping tonight. Completely lost my appetite too. Shit.

Supershek!

Been working round the clock the past couple of days. Still working now.. :( People in other departments don't need sleep. And they assume i don't. I was just having a quick dinner with fae jus now n 1 of them called me. He realised that i wasn't in office n exclaimed "U left office oredi??"... he felt more assured when i said i was jus having dinner downstairs.. gosh!

I believe by the end of this week, i'll have black eye rings literally. I mean, i oredi see my dark eye rings after 2 nights of slaving non-stop. :(

Back!

Been stuffing myself with so much food the last few days, it's not funny! In JB, we had buffet breakfast from 7.30am, then tea time at 10am, lunch at 12, more tea at 3pm, then finally dinner in the evening! Gosh, can't believe i ate so much. Didn't dare to step on my weighing scales when i got back.

Anyway, went to JB yesterday n guess what? An IDIOTIC, i repeat, IDIOTIC long-hair indian in a champagne hyundai matrix rammed into my wing mirror with his, then charged forward n hit the front of my car! N he drove off. Got his car number n lodged a police report, but not sure how the traffic police will handle it. I was damn pissed off man! Ok.. cool it... Anyway, ate so much when i was back in JB. Had a HUGE crayfish, an entire plate of ostrich meat by myself, frog meat, soup, etc. Feeling a little disgusted with myself now n i think i'll probably go on a diet from tomorrow onwards.. :)

Today, i taught peiqi accounts in my office cos i needed to get stuffs photocopied. Then went to help my younger sis search for a new hp since her LG hp's ear-piece is spoilt. Think i'll get myself a new hp by end of this month. Still thinking abt my nokia 6680.. a lil' huge but the best 3G hp as yet (from my opinion).

Leaving soon

I'll be leaving in a couple of minutes n am not sure if i have access to internet there. So i've decided to drop a simple entry to reduce speculations on where i've MIA to. If i manage to get internet access there, i'll definitely find time to blog something in here. Hv to run now.. ciaoz!

Da Watches

Today is a day of expensive watches. Last week, i found out that my client, cortina, sold expensive watches. The job started today n i also visited another watch shop called da vinci at scotts. Apparently they only came to singapore last year n everything's from italy. Bought 1 of the watches there which i tot was quite unique. As for cortina, i won't get them off the retail stores since staff discount is available.. :) Not that i'll buy them either.

Had my teeth cleaned finally jus now too. Costed me almost 150 bucks since i had x-ray done too! Such rip-offs.. i'm only cleaning my teeth?? I'll go back to my good old dentist next time. Anyway, will be going to JB sofitel golf resort this wed. Nice getaway i guess, but the workshop's probably stressful. Will be staying with kyra, whose family owns famous amos in singapore. Looking forward to that since she's funny, bitchy n everything else that makes her cool!

I can finally see again! The last couple of days, I had been trying to get contact lenses n tried for more than 3 hours at a couple of optic shops. At the end of everything, I failed miserably n got a pair of specs. I had fae, elinn n kel to provide moral support (n of cos ALL the opticians available as well), yet i can't do it. Feel like some big failure especially when i see the young girl next to me at one of the optic shops jus put it on n take it off like nobody's business.

For the past couple of nites, was hanging around drinking. Was trying not to drink too much so had fruit punch as much as i could instead. Something happened last nite. After class, kel n a couple of her colleagues decided to head for drinks at fisherman's village. Yen yen msged me at that time as well, asking me for her HDD. Fortunately i brought it along. As i couldn't really see, i told yen yen tat kel would pass it to her while her colleagues n me settle down at another pub. Yen yen said she didn't wanna see kel. Dunno y, so i told kel wat yen yen said n we decided to go together. Amazingly, she was with joenic (not sure how to spell), jael's sis. Kel's colleagues decided to settle down somewhere near to yen yen. Kel n my backs were facing yen yen. Her colleague, san, told me that it's obvious that yen yen likes me. Not sure how she drew that conclusion, but they decided to do some "show".. tot it was quite childish so i didn't bother doing much.. they insisted that yen yen kept looking over at our table n had walked behind me at least 4 times. I didn't even realise! Oh, apparently san knows joenic n her sis too. In fact, she was quite close to joenic for a while before she found out her true character.. Anyway, that story aside, i dunno wat to do abt yen yen's hallucinations. Today, i heard from 1 of the CNB people whom yen yen claims to be very good friend with, that yen yen told her that she likes me.. i really hope it's not true. I guess i'll pretend not to know abt it n jus act normal. Hopefully she will get over it on her own. Dun need another dramatic hoo-ha in my life rite now. I prefer peace..

Tired

Still half-blind today, plus loads of blisters on my feet. Wearing the shoes fae selected for me for less than 24 hours n having so many blisters oredi. Sighz.. dun hv much affinity with shoes i guess.

I'm so busy yet i'm thinking of the chocolate buffet at fullerton. Feel like going for it tomorrow nite. Probably ask elinn, anne n a couple of other pple.. see how. N i'll probably be at JB for 3 days next week for a workshop. May or may not happen, depending.. but i must still get my contacts/specs 1st! Think i half made up my mind to get contacts oredi. Will probably allocate 2 hours to spend in an optical shop when i'm free.

Oh, n i'm penniless to since the STUPID OCBC ATM machine ate up my card yesterday or day before. I had only 16 bucks left this morning n spent them all on cab fare since his credit card machine failed. :( Must go source for cash cash cash!

Night call

Went home early last nite with my family after paying respects to my great-grandma.. fixed up my raid drive n core center problem (stupid MSI) n became very sleepy as i didn't hv my specs. Damn.. the extra energy burnt to see without my specs is making me very tired! Then yen yen called me just past mid-night.. to ask me to wake up n pee! Gosh.. she's back at it again. Apparently, she was heading to fisherman's village n was thinking of asking me along but upon hearing my super-duper-tired voice, she dropped the idea n reminded me to go pee instead. Sighz..

It's raining heavily now. I can't locate my specs anywhere. Blistering barnacles. It jus means my previous investment in those made in japan lenses n frame hv depreciated at a faster rate than expected. N it probably oso means contact lenses for me soon... i'm getting a headache from the whole of yesterday n today without specs. Will probably do something abt it later. Can't believe that my heart's beating so fast from the sheer thought of getting contacts ...

Fed up!!!!

I'm so so fed up! 2 nites ago, i was helping yen yen with her pda n transferred all my mp3 and mtv files to her. Then kel called to ask if she could come over to my place with her colleagues (3 of them) for whatever reason. I invited them over. Told them to choose n watch one of the dvds. Yen yen then started being worried that my mum would wake up. Told her that my mum would not n that i know my mum very well. If anyone should be worried, I would definitely be the most worried.

Yesterday morning, yen yen called me again for help to bail her on some silly town council issue. I did her the favour n we met kelley n her ex-colleagues (all from cantonment) whom yen yen oso knew at a coffeeshop. Left earlier with kel since we had to work. Apparently, yen yen started spreading tales to her ex-colleagues.. saying that she knows my mum very well (dun think she's even seen my mum before) n kel jus brought a whole bunch of pple to my place in the middle of the nite n that will make my mum very angry n get me into trouble. I oredi explained to yen yen on sun nite n earlier on the way to cantonment that i turned up the volume for them n i was the one who invited them over. N it's my mum we're talking abt. I know my mum better than anyone else! Dun understand why she has to spread the lies so i met up with kel's friends yesterday evening to hear it for myself what yen yen told them. Guess yen yen told them i still like her n always helping her be guarantor n bailor (come on, it was the 1st time i bailed yen yen) but becos kel tried too hard so i'm with kel. What rubbish! I'm so fed up but i think i'll jus let her say whatever she wants. It's not the first time she's doing it. I'm jus pissed off that after helping her so much without asking for anything in return, she's spreading lies.. maybe it's jus her hallucination... whatever.

N i jus lost my specs. Shit. Think i'll jus make contacts if i can't find my specs anywhere. Hv to pay respects to my great-grandma this evening too..

Past coupla'days

Met elinn n anne for dinner/supper on fri midnite at maxwell mkt cos i was famished. Their friend, siew, joined us n later her other friend (can't remember her name) joined us too. Her friend was a butch n interestingly, she asked if i was gay, then asked if i was single... elinn did all the answering for me. FYI, i was only wearing sloppy shorts n slippers that nite, which explains y i didn't wanna join them in alt bar.

Yesterday was a complete day out with elinn. Went to sim lim sq with kel, elinn n anne. Think they bought more stuffs than me.. Headed to ice monster for tea. Wanted to play pool but everywhere was packed so sang karaoke at some dodgy china ktv. Well, it was cheap n worth every buck! Think i'll intro my colleagues there next time around.. Had TCC for light dinner before dropping anne off at newton. Kel met some of her friends near my CC while elinn was with me throughout. Chilled out at cosy bay after class. Had to send everyone home before dropping on my bed.

This morning i was abruptly woken up by my younger sis to go to grandma's house. My younger sis bought the tix to sound of music while i was semi-conscious n used my credit card to make the 1000-dollar transaction.. she bought the most expensive tix n think most of my family's going. Brilliant. Jus had a heavy lunch at my grandma's n now i'm back in office clearing work. Will probably meet yen yen tonite to settle all her technological woes. Perhaps i'm a 1-stop pc service centre??

Home stay

Decided to work from home today. Wasn't too good an idea since i was playing my RTK10 instead. My Zhuge Kongming character died n he had no descendant. Shucks! So my game ended abruptly without me conquering the entire country. Stupid Koei, shall complain to them about it some time..

Anyway, got a couple of bruises from sparring with elinn's students last nite. Caught up with her a little during supper even though she had to study for her exam today on country club management. Duh. Spent the rest of the night playing game. Going to watch a bit more of L Word later before going to church for special service. Guess that means i won't be going changkat? I procrastinated once more n decided to take my 4th dan in July. Then again, i'll probably postpone it in June when the time comes. I'm never gonna take it man.

Will be going sim lim sq tomorrow i think. Got many requests for gadgets from various people.. mike, gerrie, bev, etc. Think i've got sim lim sq printed on my forehead that's y i seem to keep getting the arrows. Damn.
