Singapore Food Rocks!!!

For dinner tonight, i brought my grandma n bro to 85 market and man, i had a feast of singapore food that i had not tasted for so long! First, i got the sambal stingray. Then we had several chicken wings and satay. And how could i leave out char kway teow and carrot cake? Yup, got huge plates of them. And i even ordered chai chee pork porridge! Fortunately the queue for bak chor mee was super long so i didn't get that. Otherwise, i'd be throwing out the food as i type the blog. I'm so full from dinner, but i think the food was so good. What should i eat tomorrow? Nasi lemak? :)

I LOVE Singapore??

I'm finally back in Singapore. As soon as my meeting ended in the morning, I bade everyone in the company goodbye and RUSHED to the airport. Yes, took the earliest flight i could back to singapore. It's not because i miss the heat or humidity in singapore, but i just want to be home. It's been a long time since i last saw my house properly. And my messy room.

Within one hour of arriving, i got a call from my big sir. They're having another tourney and needs help tomorrow afternoon. So i'm stuck in tkd stuffs pretty as soon as i'm back. Damn.

I'm now stuck with my job change situation. After I tendered my resignation, I've got more options on my plate. All of them appear even more attractive than UK. Now a few more countries are open up for me. Beijing and US specifically. Where should i go now?

champion chen in the house Hong Kong

i was put through a dinner session with her 3 other boring colleagues on Monday night. i was impressed with my ability to just focus on the food and nothing else. just one dinner with them i could immediately tell that they have something going on...it's the office politics thing you know. the guy has like totally no EQ and it's so obvious that no one likes him...so sad. it's amazing how these mediocre people can land themselves in a job like that...living in luxurious hotels and eating good food on company's expenses everyday. i seriously wouldn't mind a job like this.

and so we went SOGO to look for prune juice cos as we all know esther has a history of extreme constipation problems...more importantly it's because i don't want her to use her accumulated shit as an excuse for her protruding lower abdominen.. esther, living in denial is not good for you. unfortunately we couldn't find any so we got ourselves some yucky vegetable juice that is supposedly full of fibre. then she managed to poop, or so she claims...which is a huge achievement that calls for celebration really.

ok, enough of all the shit, literally.

oh did i forget to mention that she bought some Godiva chocolates and charged it to company bill as food expense?!?! win liao. haha but i'm not complaining since i am going to finish eating them before she even realises it.

we woke up at like 615am to go to the pool so that i can teach her how to swim the frog style properly. well, i would say she's not too bad for a beginner...just that she looked more like a beached whale than a frog in the water. HAHAHA. shit she's so going to kill me. lol.

la la la...

and it's more food, desserts, food, desserts for the rest of my trip!!

yes it's champion chen in the house! guest blogging here due to overwhelming requests by who else..but myself. :P

Back by popular demand!

I didn't realise that people were so actively reading my blog until i got a comment to update my blog! Yes, i'm back in action once again. A quick recap of my last couple of weeks.

My conference held in Cranwell was fun! Apart from the presentations I had to make, everything else was good. Even had half a day of golf lesson. When the conference ended, we drove n rested in one of the finger lakes at Skanateles before going up to see the niagara falls. Stayed in toronto before going back towards NY. Spent one whole day at this factory outlet that had more than 200 shops before sending angie to the airport. Kit kat, yoyo and myself then flew off to LA the next day. As usual, we missed our flight and got to LA slightly later. Still, we had 2 days there. Very disappointed that i didn't see the big hollywood sign up close but i guess i'll have to live with it. Kit kat left and i flew to SF with yoyo. Totally missed the flight AGAIN and we got to SF in the evening instead of the morning. Driving there would have been faster if only we knew we were going to miss the flight... Had some fun for 2 or 3 days while staying at yoyo's friend's house. Took off once again to hawaii for 3 days. OMG, it's like mini japan! All the signs were in japanese?? Did snorkelling once again but seriously, the corals at the red sea are MUCH nicer. Even the sand in hawaii is not too nice. I think it's just the water colours that looked better than singapore.

Finally flew out of US to tokyo. Met up with my kyoto friend to go up to mount fuji. Now's not the season to climb, so we only went midway up. But i tell u, mount fuji is BEAUTIFUL. Ate all the japanese food that i had been craving for, except for sukiyaki that i simply couldn't find anywhere. After that, we headed back to singapore. Elinn came to pick me up saying that she missed me, but i think she just wants to drive me home since she just got her driving license!!

Stayed in Singapore for like 12 hours, then flew out to HK. I'm super tired from all the travelling, yet i had to start work. And of course, i took the opportunity to tender my resignation as well. Yes, I'll only be here for another month before I relocate. Interestingly, I was heading out to London. But I got a call yesterday for me to go to Beijing on expat terms. Somehow, the idea of going to beijing suddenly sounded more interesting and the olympics is going to be held there next year! I'm just thinking that i'm going to be in the midst of all that action... So should i go beijing and turn down the offer in london? Someone please tell me!
