Hello world

I'm back in singapore once more. Now i've really gotta seriously think about my next trip. The itinerary is scaring me right now, and I'll be gone for 2 months if I'm still with UTC at the end of it all. My preliminary itinerary looks somewhat like this:

Singapore - Athens - Cairo - Frankfurt - JFK (New York) - Los Angeles - San Francisco - Hawaii - Tokyo - Singapore

Now is that scary or what? It's literally a round the world journey. Now i'm just pending for the travel agent to work this out and tell me if i've gone crazy. And for the purpose of this trip, my younger sis had helped me to borrow almost 15 travel books from the library! My only challenge is having to carry minimal clothes to cater for all the different types of weather.

When i got back from HK, everyone noticed my pimples on the face. Seriously, HK is overly polluted. Both Manu and JC were literally choking there. As i'm so healthy and strong, i didn't suffer as much. Instead, my face took the entire hit. So yesterday afternoon, i went for my 1st session of facial. 1st session from the package of 13 i bought the last time. I know i'm not going to finish all 13 on my own, it's impossible! Then my family had the idea of me buying them dinner too. On saturday night, we celebrated my bro n dad's birthday together. It blew more than $450 off my pocket. Now they want another crab bee hoon dinner @ changi village. Thanks to my bro.. Each time i come back to singapore, my expenses just shoot up so much. Maybe i should just stay abroad.

Amazing HK

Some things just never fail to amaze me.

1. Filipinos gathering
They gather every Sunday in Central, starting from the IFC. The entire community stretches more than 1km, and are neatly organised in groups with complete package of mats, cardboard dividers, poker cards, food, etc. It is said that there are more Filipinos here than in Philippines.

2. Shopping queues
The 1st H&M shop in East Asia has just opened in HK! Angie decided that it's a must-go, so we joined the queue from about a traffic light away. The queue for the fitting room was also ridiculously long. When we went out of that 4-storey H&M 2 hours later, the queue of people waiting to go in stretched even further to 2 traffic lights beyond.

3. Thefts in HK
First, my client's car got stolen a couple of weeks back. Then now, the credit card machine got stolen at the airport.

Is this HK??

On call

Yesterday was a busy day. I had calls from early morning (8am) non-stop all the way till 5.30pm. Had a small break in the morning to grab breakfast and go to office. So manu and I could only catch the 5.45pm show. We watched 300, which i had high expectations on after watching the trailer. But it was simply disappointing. So fake!

After that, I had to rush back and prepare for a "war" during my 9pm conference call. You know, i'm so good with telephone pads that I keyed in my ATM pin wrongly 4 times the day before because I used the telephone pad orientation.. I can be a phone operator next time.

On wednesday, we went up to the peak. A pity the fog was pretty thick that night so manu couldn't see very much, and missed the HK skyline and all. Tonight, angie's coming to join me and we've already determined all our dinner venues. Apart from eating, our agenda is to bitch. I believe we can dedicate 50% of our mouth time to bitch, while the other 50% for eating. Great plan!

Low morale

I'm totally idling in HK. I've got so much work to do, but no morale whatsoever. Everyday, my colleague n i just bitch about the company and how screwed up it is. That takes up half a day. The other half of the day is simply doing every other thing, like preparing for Egypt visa, coordinating global conference in US, etc. I can't focus on my HK project at all and i'm so stressed out with a tight deadline!!

Yet, everyday we still have the mood for good food. The only time i made sacrifices was when i had to go for indian food with manu. He requires indian food every few days, n i still can't accept the fact that i'm having indian food in HK. It's HK u know?? Today, we had Lei Garden for lunch. As usual, i was SO bloated. Someone told me that i'm fat after seeing my latest pic. I'm going to start heading to the gym soon. I know i said that even before i came, but i've got no time remember?? As it is, my over-sleeping habits is causing us to go later each day. Our record was meeting at 9.30am for breakfast in the hotel.

Last weekend, i headed to shenzhen via the KCR. The best thing about China is the dirt cheap massage. Including tips, we paid SGD30 for a 2-hour full body + 1-hour foot reflex. Shiok! On Sunday, I went to tai-o (since peiqi recommended it so strongly) and bought loads of seafood-y stuffs. Fortunately, yoyo was flying back the next day and could help me ship my stuffs home. I brought too many clothes here so my luggage's pretty stuffed up.

Oh, I found royce chocs here too!!!!!! OMG. I'm really growing to the size of a sumo.

Disappearing act

First, all the finance auditors in the india office left. Now both the IS auditors (my only 2 colleagues in the entire Asia Pac / Middle East / Africa region) are leaving one by one. Actually, one's gone already. I'll be back to doing all the shit on my own. It's time I plan my disappearing act too...

Hot bod!

Last night, i went for foot reflexology after my shower. The guy came into the room with fruits and exclaimed "哇!你通常去游泳,难怪身材那么好!" That was like 10+pm?? Before I could tell him my hair's wet cos I washed my hair, he went out to get tea.

I can't swim, never mind. But my body.. err... Ok, I think it's time for me to be proud of my body! :)
