Fast and Furious 2

It all started when my client's project manager announced on Tuesday evening that the project would be delayed by a month. This was a huge stress reliever for me as I had been hardly catching any sleep to work on this project with an unrealistic time-line. So on Wednesday morning, I called 2 of my partners and got clearance from them to go on a one week vacation. It was totally unbelievable as I didn't think they would approve. Ok, I promised to do a couple of conference calls... And so I booked my tickets. On Thursday, I was booking everything else, from hotel to cars to helicopter. Basically, I had no mood for work anymore.

Then Friday afternoon, I had major cramps. It was so bad I almost fainted in my client's place. I was breaking out in cold sweat and I didn't want to tell anyone. After 45 minutes of struggling to survive in the toilet on my own, I could see colours again. Quickly went back to the room, packed up, told my team I had to go and went home to recuperate. After telling Karen briefly about it so as to explain why I couldn't go for massage, she announced it to the selected group (to my horror). By 7.30pm, karen, rachel, carol and julynn came over to my place with food. Apparently, julynn cooked me porridge which got me quite touched. By 10pm, I was feeling much better and started packing my luggage. Then I had to work. Karen didn't allow me to go back to office so I worked from home till 2am. Now, I had 4 hours of sleep before I catch my flight. Yes, I AM going on a holiday!

Before I know it, I'm already here... in LA!! Tomorrow, we'll be flying over to las vegas and then finally see grand canyon. It's like my dream come true since I don't remember when. I've seen it all over national geographic, i've seen it in imax, it's about time i see it for myself! I'm so so so excited!!!! What I need to do now is to adjust to the 15-hour time difference. Sleep... is what I need right now.

Fast and furious

Oh man, everything is happening so fast and I'm so excited that I just need to write something on my blog. Yet, i've got no time to write everything down. AaahhhH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before or after?

For the last 2 months, karen had been trying to convince me that pre-marital sex is a necessity. And i must say, she's really convincing! For example, how you need to test drive a car before u buy a car, then how sex can affect a marriage significantly, etc.

I'm now slightly confused by the principles that i have always believed in all my life. It's like, i'm now forced to re-think about them thoroughly. Maybe it's about time anyway......

Revolutionary cut

I'm totally overworked. Can I say i'm underpaid too? It had come to a stage that my partners are not allowing me to help other people with their jobs so that I can work on theirs. Apart from my work, I still had to play my game. This deadly combo is causing me to sleep at 4am almost everyday. So much so that I've no time to update my blog! This is definitely depressing. So i had a 2-hour badminton game to cheer myself up today.


I've just got myself a new haircut. Once again, it's revolutionary such that I'll probably need a week to recognise myself. Last night, we had a farewell party at carol's place. In her bid to clear stock so that she can move house next weekend, she ended up cooking so much food (including chicken curry)! And she's got a huge stock of haagen daaz. I'm so glad she's moving to near my house. :) Still, vanessa bought awfully chocolate just in case the food turned out wrong. Watched the kite runner at her place too. It was certainly a good story though sad.

Last weekend, I went to shanghai. Stayed with leng, and met up with xiao zhiqiang. Finally i saw his gym. Got me inspired to start training again. But i know i'm lazy. Then just like a typical taiwanese, xiao zhiqiang insisted on going karaoke on saturday night with some fellow coaches and students. This meant that i couldn't meet cheng and angie for the birthday party that same night..

Carol's now planning her holidays for this year. It feels like there'll be at least one trip each month. Places include dalian, shangri-la, korea, tibet, etc. I'll probably tag along if i can cos i really wanna go those places too! Well, let's see what happens...
