No bags again??

I know i've done this many times, but this is really cutting it. I thought my flight was at 11.55pm but when i got to the NY airport at 10.40pm, i realised that it's 11pm! Oh man, i had a hell of a run from 1 end of the airport to the other. And i didn't check-in online either. I couldn't miss this last flight back to singapore since i had another flight to catch to tokyo.

Guess what? I made it! YAY!!! It's really good to be some PPS member after all huh? Heh. But not all's well. When i got to singapore, the ground staff told me that although i caught my flight, my 2 check-in bags didn't and will arrive in singapore the next day. I was stunned. This is not working for me, since i can't wait for my bags to arrive. It just reminds me of my previous journey from US last year when someone else took my bags n i ended up without my luggage too.

Within less than 3 hours, i've gotta make arrangements with SIA, rush home, repack a bag, and rush back to the airport. Why am i always rushing??

Anyway, the only good thing is that, after all the rush, I made it for this flight to tokyo. Also, this plane has free wireless internet connection, which explains why i'm finding time to update my blog on board the plane. I've watched almost every movie SIA has (yeah, they've got 80 channels...) and so sick of watching anymore. Now to do funds transfers...

2 weeks in US

It had been an unbelievable 2 weeks. On my flight to US, I stopped by Germany and realized that they were dead serious about airport security. Apparently, some unidentified bag was found along a passageway and the whole area was cordoned off. Fortunately, it wasn’t a big deal since my flight to US was still on time.

I slept quite a lot in Phoenix to make up for lost sleep and visited a couple of places. On Friday, yisi and me rented a car and drove to las vegas. I didn’t know the drive was THAT long! We stayed at the Aladdin or Planet Hollywood hotel along the strip. Visited everything interesting there and bought loads of pants. I really need loads of them, and now I’ve got tons of them. Sure good to have all my luggage stuffed up. The drive back was really challenging. We did it overnight so that I could catch my morning flight back to new york. As usual, I nearly missed my plane. Then again, I dun really wanna be caught for speeding in a foreign country again right? After all, I preach safe driving.

When I finally got to Hartford, guess what? I lost my keys to 1 of my luggage locks. Brilliant, just what I need after the 5 hours on the road and another 5 on the plane. Got the hotel staff to break my luggage lock after quarrelling with their front desk. Oh man, I sure have got a temper. Then again, it wasn’t my fault. Really!

The week was all good and cool. The food’s not fantastic though. Helps to maintain my weight I guess?

Am I asleep or awake?

I can't believe I spent 36 hours travelling from Singapore to Arizona. I see it as a waste of time, although travelling to US seems shorter as they're behind time. Fortunately, I brought my animes with me to help me kill time. :) My time zone's all mixed up. My body n stomach are getting confused on when i'm eating or waking up. This explains why i'm now in the semi-conscious state. Awake, yet asleep.

Everyone's asking me what i'm going to do in this desert state. I really wanna visit the grand canyon, but i may not have the time for it. Instead, i'm planning to do something which is going to shock everyone. Shopping. And yisi's going to take leave on friday, which means we can go las vegas earlier than planned. Yay!

Anyway, I'm still having conference calls at night despite being on leave. It's so ridiculous, but i dun exactly have a choice. Will be back in new york again this sunday to prepare for my 1-week conference. I sure hope i dun fall asleep during this conference. As it is, i oredi am pretty much blacklisted for falling asleep or not paying attention during such events.. not that i can help it! Sighz....
