Game(s) rated

Was working from home the whole day. By noon, i was playing HOMM5. I can't believe they rated this game 9.5 out of 10 in digital life today. It's not all that fantastic, though it's not that bad either. I would think 7 would be more appropriate. Maybe they benchmarked the game against version 4, and forgot that version 3 was so much better than 4. I mean, oblivion is rated number 1 for both PC game and Xbox for good reasons, but HOMM5??

In the evening, i went with peiqi to eat hougang porridge. Both of us were starving coincidentally. We ordered so much food (think 3-4 pple's share?) n still felt hungry. I bet i was still hungry cos peiqi ate most of the food! :p Then we had mango pudding since it was lighter than selegie beancurd.

Went to lian's place to pass her the remaining dvds for DCJ. Helped peiqi with her airport work, although she subsequently realised tt it wasn't required anymore. But being the anal her, she just has to do it to be "consistent". And then we went for our 2nd round of desserts. Mango milk ice. After yesterday's mango feasting as well, i feel like i'm mango OD.

Should i go JB tomorrow? My younger sis doesn't want me to take the car though..

VJC kids

I'm quite disappointed with the kids from VJC. Their impeccable behaviour during the end of the expose was already bad enough. They had to add it on by defaming people in their blogs. For their behaviour, I was ready to forgive them since karfu apologised on their behalf. I can explain the case to yen yen quite easily since she knows karfu as well. But to write that kind of things on the blog is not forgivable. Surely they know better than to say such things?

It ends up that we've gotta see their principal tomorrow to address our case. Fortunately, or unfortunately, i didn't do the admin work for them. Sighz, kids are just kids. And maybe they just need to learn things the hard way...

Long week

Before i realise it, 1 week had past. Most of my time was spent in asteroids lan gaming. On wednesday, i went with amit, lian, her bf n colleagues to MOS. As one of our friends knew the boss of MOS, we managed to chill out at skylounge, which was pretty cool. We opened a few bottles n got myself a little high with rose n went onto the dance floor with amit. That idiotic amit had to pull me onto the platform n we basically stood there the whole nite. The music was SO GOOD! Lian wasn't feeling too well so we could only dance for an hour plus. Lian started puking the whole nite thereafter..

On thursday, i watched x-men 3 with amit at lido. Finally had the chance to introduce one of the better popcorn in singapore to him. Had dinner at the jap restaurant in taka, n i realised tt both my other sisters were in orchard too. Such a coincidence since none of us really went down orchard at all.

Fri nite, i chilled out with tammy at gillman village. I just felt like going there instead of settlers' cafe. Had a long talk with her as we shared the downs of our lives thus far.

My entire day today was spent in YCK stadium helping yen yen emcee the expose. It's like the dunno how many time i'm emcee for tkd events. So sian. I ended up having to self-entertain. But i guess, if not just for yen yen, i won't even go down at all. I've enough of tkd events!

After class, went with peiqi to try out tang chao. I guess we may not go there again, unless we've got no choice. Still gotta teach the kids early in the morning tomorrow. Then i've got the mother's day dinner. I'm trying my best not to go down to st teresa's tournament tomorrow. It's quite sad to hv 2 full days of tkd activities, as if nationals isn't bad enough??!!??

Uniquely da vinci

After returning from supper @ crystal jade holland village at 3+am last nite, i only woke up (as in, really waking up) at 12.30pm this morning. Started making plans with peiqi to watch da vinci code in JB.

Went to JB in the afternoon. Bought tickets n spent 3 hours waiting at city square. Apparently, the singapore tourism board was desperately trying to market how unique singapore is to everyone in city sq, when i think more than half the shopping centre is filled with singaporeans. Even the project superstar 1st runner-up was there to sing some song.

The movie da vinci code was a little complex. Maybe cos i didn't read the book. Thought it was only a 1.5 hour show, but it went beyond my expectations. The cinema was FREEZING cold lor! After the show, we went for dinner. I believe both of us were bloated after that.

Should i watch naruto now? or bleach? or play game?

HOMM V

The week passes so quickly, that in a flash, so many events had occurred. The morning after original sin, i suffered from indigestion. Ate veg the entire day n was quite proud of my accomplishment.

Today, amit was flying to bangkok for a side trip to pattaya. We worked hard to close the chubb database before we went to play lan games. In the midst of the games, i actually attended 2 closing meetings conference calls for a job in china and another one in japan. Guess i didn't mute my hp fast enough.. n didn't know my director was on the call too..

Sent amit to the airport then went home. Viola, my heroes of might and magic 5 had completed downloading! YAY!! As i started installing n playing the game, i realised i missed one VERY important file! Which means i have to download the file n wait another hour. :(

So i picked yoyo n kit kat up from airport n rushed them home so that we can meet everyone else up for hougang porridge. Leng, lian n bf, yoyo n myself ended up being the only ardent supper gang for 11.30pm porridge. Chatted so much n left at 1+am. Sent everyone home n headed home for my... HOMM 5! :)

Eat out

Decided to bring amit to original sin @ holland village for dinner with lian. As it was a vegetarian mediterranean restaurant, i tot i had the chance of under-eating. It turned out otherwise. :( What's wrong with me??

JC's not allowing me to take leave in mid-june, when i hv planned for the training camp. He said i might need to go back to south africa. Damn! I'm now trying my best to weasel my way out of that situation. I can't possibly abandon those kids rite? They're so going to miss me! Haa...

Oh yeah, lian and myself went back to NTU for lunch today. Wanted to go canteen 3 but realised it was under construction. So we went to canteen 5 instead. Think we made a mistake. We should have just gone to jurong point. Eating NTU food is simply a waste of calorie count.

I'm so full now. Should i run up and down my house to work out at least the truffle dessert?

Short day

It's a short day today. Woke up at 3.30pm. Yes, 3.30pm. Even i got a shock when i woke up! But then again, i slept at 6am so it's still 9 hours of sleep only rite? Did almost nothing at home except laze around n eat my triple choc crunch from UK before i attended my friend's wedding dinner. Despite my non-busy schedule, i was late for the dinner due to endless procrastination n watching naruto. Last week, i went to my friend's dinner with the 1st dish. Jus now, i went in with their 2nd dish. But of cos, i look so natural tt people tot i returned from the washroom.

Now that i'm home from the 9-course dinner, i'm not in the least bit sleepy. Should i watch an episode of bleach or naruto now? But i've gotta be in office before 9am tomorrow n i've got a major kick-off meeting tomorrow 10am. Which means, i shld be sleeping by now.

Why am i still in africa's time zone????

Back in 36 hours

I arrived in bkk at midnite n realised i left my oblivion manual in the plane. It's my collector's edition of oblivion manual! So i spent an hour waiting for them to retrieve my book, which they didn't. Felt so cheated, then went to sheraton to meet up with my friends.

Started shopping the next day at MBK. It's so strange for someone like me who hates shopping to fly all the way to bkk just to shop. But yes, i bought so much for my younger sis n myself that the dept store lady tot we were buying up the shop. I mean, i spent 300 bucks to fly all the way there, i better make it good!

My friends are just such bad influences. While shopping with them, we had to stop by MANY places for food. I had a sudden craving for dunkin donuts, n my friends had to continue with mister donut after that, then swensens, etc. Those are just tea-time specials. We had a relatively heavy lunch before that. N i swear we didn't walk enough the shopping centre to burn up all those calories!

In the evening, we went to nite bazaar for dinner n more shopping. I had to get my mum a fake LV handbag, otherwise she wouldn't talk to me. My friends naturally came to my aid on this one. I was clueless. By the time we were done, it was midnight. Time for our massage. We realised that only the sleezy ones were left open at that hour.

We ended up at soi 23, one of the dark alleys. When we looked into 1 of the shops, it was like a showcase of the guy sleeping with the girl. Not elaborating further here. But they were still open for business (although there was none), n offered us a very low rate. So we went in. Although it's been 24 hours since my massage, i still feel all the bruises left from the masseur. It was definitely all pain n no gain. Lousy place.

Got back to singapore this afternoon, sent out a couple of emails then rushed down to my ex-colleague's housewarming where i meet the pwc gang again. Left within an hour to pick peiqi n dehua up for elias class. Got there just in time.. i think. Had hougang porridge for supper. I'm super full now, which means i shld stay up to play game instead of sleeping.

Oblivion, here i come!! :)

Gone in less than 60 hours

I really shock myself sometimes. Within a span of half a day, i made up my mind to go to bangkok tonite (in 3 hours time??), bought the tickets and preparing to come back by Saturday evening for my elias class. Sometimes, this kind of things just help to make life more interesting. Not everything needs to be planned.

I really need to start packing now. Be back by Saturday afternoon!!

Short n sweet

So much had happened the last few days. Now to recollect those i remember.

First, there was this exciting elections. Was at lian's house with yoyo n leng that nite. Rushed there after my friend's wedding at clarke quay. I brought my beloved chivas along, while leng contributed green tea. We were toasting whenever the opposition parties won (although it was just 2 seats). Then we toasted to every other thing like the fact that all oppositions got back their money, that our PM took a significant blow from the death team, that the oppositions got good percentages, etc.

On sunday, i went pulau ubin to hike with yoyo. She promised to take me to the highest point in ubin, which i tot was going to be good for work-out. As it turns out, the highest point in ubin is like... hardly any height lor! So in the end we jus took a couple of pix n chose to believe we lost some weight, even though our lunches n dinners definitely put everything back in us..

Then it was back to work. After a boring day, i went to watch MI3 at cineleisure. Caught the 10pm show. Action was there, though i'm not exactly a tom cruise fan. Jus love the action. Was trying to figure out which scenes were computer graphics. I will never believe that tom did all those stunts on his own.

Worked from home today. Brought my car for servicing late afternoon n changed almost everything including all my tyres. Spent a bomb (felt pretty much exploited). My colleague's asking me to join her in bangkok this long weekend but i think the elias kids miss me. :p Oh well, i'll really need to think abt it since i've gotta get stuffs in bangkok quite badly. But if i'm going, it means that i gotta get the ticket soon.. the departure day is like 1.5 days away!

Oblivion!!!

I finally bought my collectors' edition of oblivion n am so happy with my purchase!! Got it at a relatively good price. :) Too bad i had to cancel my leave tomorrow otherwise i'd be playing the game the entire day..

Today's 1st aid test was much easier than i tot. Basically, everyone passed, including the ones that simply cannot make it. But i guess i'll try not to perform CPR on anyone cos i'd probably reduce the person's chance of survival instead.

Went shopping with leng today as i needed a pair of shoes rather badly. So far, i broke 2 pairs of working shoes n fae's gone to abu dhabi again. Since i'm going back to office tomorrow, i figure that a pair of working shoes is necessary. Despite wandering the entire orchard, we couldn't find anything. Leng was really upset about it (i didn't hv any expectations, but i guess she did?) but i tot it was ok.

My mum's throwing tantrums again. She's totally ridiculous n behaving like a kid. So we're having a cold war once more, n i dun give a shit.

Welcome home

I've come back to singapore n have been showering non-stop. It's true ok.. This place is hot and humid. Not completely adjusted to the jet lag yet since i didn't do the right things in the plane. As soon as i touched down, i unpacked my stuffs n went for dim sum with peiqi n dehua @ red star. Within a span of 1 hour, 2 people have exclaimed how much weight i put on! Worst thing is, 1 of them was my maid... n she doesn't normally make such comments.

Went to weigh myself n i still can't believe i've REALLY put on FIVE kg!!!!! What the heck! I'm starting on my diet real soon n better work out at the gym as well. Maybe i shld call elinn? hmm...

So on mayday, i went with my family n nieces to east coast n cycled for an hour. That didn't reduce my weight one bit. Waste my time. In the afternoon, i had to return to office to work but i guess i ended up talking on the phone with my friends more than anything else. Sighz..

Today's the start of my 1st aid course. Although i was late, the instructor was even later lor.. but i'm glad he mentioned tt we'll be marking our own theory test n we shld "adjust our answers accordingly...". Oh well, it's true tt no one's going to hv time to read a book when immediate 1st aid is required rite?

Just came home from the WP rally in tampines safra. Despite the soggy n muddy grounds from the rain, the crowd was still huge. i think there're probably abt a thousand pple or so. Peiqi was busy helping to fly the WP flag on my car while we drove to hougang for porridge. Hard core sia! Now i'm worried if my car had been marked by the ISD. As U know, PAP's paranoid...
